A bit of everything really – all thanks to our volunteers and sponsors in Ripponden that we have to date.

 

4 prestigious planters and at the last count 32 half barrels and troughs together with 7 new flower beds around the village

 

11 recycling sites and 4 water butts

 

Planted trees and a wild flower garden in Royd Lane and an avenue of trees in Mill Fold Park

 

The group works closely with the uniformed groups in the village clearing and planting areas close to their headquarters. They also tie in with projects at the local school and work with teachers and pupils.

Greenacres Community Housing – residents have had a salad growing initiative with some great prizes for all.

 

Regular Fund raising days which are great fun; include ‘Palm Reading’ and ‘prize every time tombola tree’ at our May Day Gala stall, various coffee mornings and the hugely successful ‘In Bloom tonight’ in November which is to be repeated and raised over £725 towards the improvements in Ripponden village.

Regular River clean-ups helped by with Calder Future.

 

Started a fund for a village statue – any ideas please let us know.
