As you wander around Ripponden we hope you will be pleased to see an abundance of flowers be it new beds popping up everywhere or the planters and barrels which are dotted around, this all thanks to volunteers who create and maintain the sites. This together with fundraising days and donations from local businesses makes Ripponden a special place to live.
Children are an important part of our activities and our brownies, guides, cubs, scouts and local Ripponden schools continue to play an active role be it planting trees, tending their own gardens or even clearing brambles!
Community groups including Greenacres and Trefoil Guild have enabled us to work together and in our second only year of entering we achieved a Gold Award in Yorkshire in Bloom.
